EPISODE # 50: Experiential Podcast Series – Part 2: “An Overview of the U.S. Healthcare Team Members” As you get ready to land the residency position of your choice and get situated to start your training every year’s July 1st in the USA, you must be prepared to face a whole new environment of team players surrounding you!. It will be crucial to understand who will be part of your team members and how they relate to each other and yourself. From day number one, you will be exposed to new interactions and relationships and create a liaison with each of the healthcare team players, so your training goes smoothly, at least from the human connection point of view. You will find a silent hierarchy and a quiet “chain of command” that it is not so apparent from the moment you step into the hospital. In America, the complex healthcare systems have tiny parts that interact with each other like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle to make the machinery churn towards a unique goal, providing excellent healthcare with great patient outcomes.
