FMG & IMG Workforce with Dr. Sophy Yeny Colon, M.D

Episode # 15. Dr. Sophy Y. Colon, MD. is an FMG who graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, School of Medicine, that is collaborating today, in how to achieve our “Dream in America”. She has called herself “Dream Big Work Hard, M.D.” and we found each other through the remarkably motivational your tube videos, that have been created spontaneously and were aimed at targeting those FMGs that are pursuing the path of becoming certified by the ECFMG / USMLE as Doctors in the US. Through a story of resilience and hard work, she offers us another perspective, to those, who despite attempting at taking the boards, have not been successful at passing the Steps.    We want to offer a positive outlook and perspective, that even when you were unable to accomplish the credentialing in the USA, there is still a way and a path to become successful in careers and jobs that could be healthcare-related or not.
